This is my sixth year at WOHS, but my 20th year of teaching. I have been with several schools in the East Texas area during this time, and am proud to be a ROUGHNECK. My husband Kirby and I have been married for 35 years and we have two grown children. We have lived in Longview for the same length of time. He is employed by Eastman Chemicals.

I am a 1978 graduate of Texas A&M University. I have a  Masters of English from the University of Texas at Tyler. I hold certifications in Gifted and Talented, Pre-AP and AP instruction, and New Jersey Writing Workshop of Texas.

When I’m not grading papers, I’m reading or sewing. I also enjoy working in my yard. My husband and I love to travel the world.
