Monday Pre-AP: OMAM Quiz #2 over extracts 3-4. Practice #1–STAAR skills with OMAM/reading questions and SA response question. Due tomorrow if not completed. Homework: Vocab Unit #9 packet. Due 3/4
Periods 2-4-6-7: Read “Those Winter Sundays.” Answer questions; complete cross-over question exercise. Plan response, complete STAAR-styled box answer. Homework: Rewrites for persuasive essay on cheating.
Tuesday Pre-AP: OMAM–Ch. 4 exercise on Crooks room. Students will draw a rendition of Crooks’s room and writing an analysis of him as a character. Homework: Extract questions
Periods 2-4-6-7: Poetry Test #1 over first four poems. Finish planning SA response and complete box answer. Tone and Diction analysis worksheet for “Those Winter Sundays.” Complete for homework.
Wednesday Pre-AP: Quiz #3–extracts 5-6. Crooks’ room exercise–continue working on project. Practice #4–reading STAAR skills/SA response. Complete for homework if needed.
Periods 2-4-6-7: STAAR warm-up: Revising and Editing packet. Read “The Bean Eaters.” Answer analysis questions.
Thursday Pre-AP: Continue working on Crook’s room. Turn in for grade. Discussion question on “Curley’s Wife” exercise. Answer probing questions and complete chart w/ quotations Homework: Extract questions.
Periods 2-4-6-7: Read “A Popular Play” and answer questions. Start analysis handout. Homework: study for poetry test #2.
Friday Pre-AP: Read “To A Mouse” and discuss. Homework: answer questions. Turn in for daily grade.
Periods 2-4-6-7: Poetry Test #2. Complete analysis handout for poem.
