| Periods 2-4-6-7: Warm-Up: Commonly Confused Words. Complete pages 5 & 8 of packet. (STAAR) Students will complete packets to turn in on Wednesday. Begin Persuasive Unit: Begin with free writing on topic from page 171 in Writing Coach. Discuss the basic appeals of advertising, the claims of advertising, and the eight hidden needs used to sell products. Review the categories of persuasion techniques.
